IT Field Support Team Leader

Job description / Role

The IT Field Support Team Leader is responsible for supervising the work of the team by ensuring the proper installation, maintenance and monitoring of all IT related devices and equipments, as well as an effective support to users in order to maintain an optimum level of systems performance and customer service.

Key Accountabilities
• Supervise the pre-opening phase of new stores in terms of design, installation and configuration, and assist in resolving issues
• Provide updates, status and completion information to the hierarchy, problem request tracking and/or users
• Take corrective and preventative measures in order to ensure a stable environment and systems performance
• Conduct research, prepare Proof of Concept on new technologies and submit technical reports to the hierarchy for system improvement
• Review reports and documentation regarding the installation of hardware and networking equipment
• Run unit meetings in order to ensure all unit activities and objectives are properly understood and communicated
• Carry out functional supervisory responsibilities that include planning and assigning tasks, setting deadlines, monitoring results and quality, and relaying team's request to hierarchy
• Assist in recruiting, training, motivating and evaluating his/her team to ensure that the department has the necessary skill base and that staff are optimally motivated and enabled to maximize their potential and contribution to the company


• Knowledge Bachelor's Degree orTechnical Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge in configuring switches, routers, ISDN modems, Windows Applications (Exchange Server, Active Directory, Printers, and other)
