Job description / Role
The Infrastructure Network Security Admin is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, availability and integrity of ADIB data and critical infrastructure whilst providing a leading Fanatical Support to both the customers and other segments of the business.
The Infrastructure Network Security Admin maintain and administrate all security software/hardware tools, and implement along with the vendor the new security projects.
Deploy all related configurations and modifications on security infrastructure components according to the agreed standards, policies and procedures
Managing, Maintaining and on-going tuning of all security infrastructure components to insure all protected services is running with the highest availability and performance
Implementing aside with vendors new security projects and the security related parts of the whole IT projects
Providing assistance to other teams in resolving simple to complex security related incident
Participate in the assessment process of any new infrastructure components before being deployed in the production environment
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree
- 4-8 years in Network/Systems security
- Perform system security administration on designated technology platforms, including operating systems, applications and network security devices, in accordance with the defined policies, standards and procedures of the organization, as well as with industry best practices and vendor guidelines.
- Perform installation and configuration management of security systems, including policy assessment and compliance tools, network security appliances and host-based security systems.
- Perform threat and vulnerability assessments, in some cases followed by appropriate remedial action, to ensure that systems are protected from known and potential threats and are free from known vulnerabilities.
- Apply patches where appropriate and, at the direction of the Security Operations, remove or otherwise mitigate known control weaknesses, such as unnecessary services or applications or redundant user accounts, as a means of hardening systems in accordance with security policies and standards.
- Locate and repair security problems and failures.
- Collate security incident and event data to produce monthly exception and management reports.
- Report unresolved network security exposures, misuse of resources or noncompliance situations using defined escalation processes.
- Assist and train junior team members in the use of security tools, the preparation of security reports and the resolution of security issues.
