About the role
Job purpose:
The role of the IT QoS tools software engineer is to develop and explore IT tools to be used in OBS IT and work on different projects to ensure the objective is achieved in an agile way.Key tasks and responsibilities
- In charge of developing, deploying, and maintaining BI interfaces. Those include query tools, data visualization and interactive dashboards, ad hoc reporting, and data modeling tools.
- Works with both the front and back ends of the Cockpit to provide an end-to-end service.
- Responsible for databases and building the user-facing website.
- Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
- Maintain code integrity and organization.
- Responsible for designing overall architecture of the web application.
- Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.
- Collaborate with the rest of the development team to design and launch new features.
- Responsible for the Cockpit development and design.
- Responsible for web projects publishing, merge requests, and backup.
- Work on database fix and QoS queries when needed.
- Work on the development of the QoS tools when needed.
- Maintain all QoS tools and support, backup when needed.

Technical skills:
Proficiency in the following skills and technologies is mandatory:
- Experience using advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, ReactJS, etc.
- Database (SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Python, Java, HTML, CSS, PHP.
- Developing HTTP and REST API (plus Swagger).
- Knowledge of code versioning tools (such as Git, GitHub, Mercurial, or SVN).
- Test tools (code quality, vulnerability, performance, etc.).
- Basic design skills.
- Good experience in working in Agile and DevOps is a plus.
- Fully understanding of the ITIL framework (certificate is a plus).
Educational background:
- B.Sc. in computer science or equivalent.
- Fluent in English, French is a plus.
