Lead A/P Operations Manager

Role Summary:

Role is responsible for the review of "S2L" accounting cycle in META. Involves all the subledger accounting review which gets triggered with a PO creation & ends with journal entry being posted in GL. This role will also include account reconciliations support & open item resolution & audit support. You will have the process expertise to manage the B2P activities linked with support of accounting activities. This position will act as Single point of contact for R2R & Controllership & CAS

Essential Responsibilities:

- Manage META B2P Accounting team of 5-10 individuals.
- Ensure full alignment with BPO process line and Global AP processes.
- Define clear team deliverables to drive better outcomes for dependent teams. Set performance metrics and hold teams accountable to meet the target.
- Identify & deliver improvement plan to fix root-cause issues. Work with Global Operations Pillar leaders to prevent re-occurrence.
- Manage wing-to-wing team activities for accounting review and approval of PO & invoices.. Identify common pain points across platforms & countries
- Support account reconciliation cycle & work closely with R2R teams. Define B2P dependencies for R2R and drive improvement in metrics
- Heavily involve in account reconciliation items driven by S2P process and coordinate & guide team member for prompt support & closure. Always look for improvements
- Responsible for Sub-ledger Closing and Reporting activities and as act as the focal point for concerns.
- Establish and maintain strong relationship with R2R & S2T & Controllership & FP&A & CAS teams..
- Work closely with GO and Business controllership, and FP&A teams to highlight and pace any exposure, risk or concerns.
- Ensure all accounting entries in SL is aligned with GE accounting procedures and USGAAP.
- Monitor closely all asset & liability accounts which are fed by SL and coordinate with other teams to tackle down any issues.
- Participate in ad-hoc B2P projects (ERP & other AP tools implementation) in META and provide expertise & guidance for a successful implementation
- Act as a go-to-person in the region for all B2P accounting related matters

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Degree in Finance or Business management
- 10+ years B2P or finance experience
- CPA, CMA or MBA is preferred
- Clear track record in managing KPIs & delivering operational improvements
- Prior team management experience; preferably 5+ years & exposure to virtual/remote team
- Detailed working knowledge of regional B2P processes & platforms
- Fluent in English; Arabic speaking a plus
- Experience of work with multiple teams both GE & 3rd party across region
- Good communicator, building relationships with GE businesses and other GO functions

- Technical accounting background is a must
