Job Scope:

- To drive the initiatives of centralized coordination, tracking & monitoring of all day to day activities related to transportation, for enhancing customer experience and achieving best in-class operational efficiency.
- Act as a key link between factory/depot staff in North Africa & Middle East countries & transport planning team to coordinate and execute day-to-day operations in the most optimum and efficient manner.
- Provide key inputs to planning team based on real time data on truck utilization, lead time tracking, truck turnaround time, direct dispatch efficiencies, modes of transportation & transporter KPI compliance report to achieve excellence in execution.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Improving Operational Efficiencies: Monitor, track & coordinate for the various logistics related activities for day to day operational efficiency & analysis.

- Key point of contact for all transport related issues for North Africa & Middle East business units.
- Ensure shipment planning on time in full, tendering loads to transporters.
- Responsibility of managing the Logistics Digital transformation projects.
- Focal point between Logistics, Digital supply chain team and IT.
- Responsible on North Africa & Middle East financials and its KPIs.
- Map down the current Logistics Process and identify areas which could be automated or digitized.
- Accountability on Transportation cost, ensure accurate provisions are created in system.
- Track deliveries and ensures service levels at distribution centers/factories.
- Track carrier reliability, conducts operational meetings with carriers.
- Coordinates with Customer Service teams to manage any issues at customer receiving.
- Monitor transport-related service losses & feedback to the planning lead for analyzing and plugging these loss gaps.
- Monitor dedicated fleet & direct deliveries from factory.
- Monitor and ensure compliance of right truck type for the right load/route for primary and secondary transportation.
- Ensure efficiencies and strict compliance for direct dispatch, loading/unloading operations etc.
- Monitor and execute lead time reduction by coordinating with transporter/ factory and warehouse teams in NAME countries
- Lead transport execution specialists based out of all the business units in NAME.

Requirements

Key Competencies & Skills:

Essential:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 4-8 years of work experience in Supply Chain/Digitalization/Logistics
- Fluent English, preferably in Arabic and French
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, Power BI
- Understanding of W&T management practices, distribution network & channels
- Strong communication skills

Preferred:

- SAP or any ERP system knowledge is preferable
- Strong working knowledge of supply chain processes.
