Salary

$39.74/hr starting wage
Increased to $40.44 after 60-day probationary period
2-year contractual technical assessment allows potential $3.00/hr increase upon successful testing
Average annual earnings of up to $156,000
Contractual full utilization allows maintenance technicians to sign up and work all weekend and holiday overtime they want except for Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Assigned based on seniority and preference
Days: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Afternoon/Evenings: 4:00pm - 12:00am
Overnights: 12:00am - 8:00am

Job responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and variable speed drive controlled high speed production equipment and batch processes.
• Maintain the power distribution of plant equipment.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment, using precision measurement tools.
• Interpret schematics and equipment manuals.
• Analyze process data and make decisions on equipment maintenance and improvement activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) to increase equipment reliability and up-time.
• Utilize SAP to accurately and thoroughly document and track all corrective and preventive maintenance performed throughout the course of the day; including searching and issuing parts, documenting equipment issues and entering inspection/measurement points.
• Prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work around production activities to achieve both production and maintenance KPIs.
• Drive brewery goals and objectives through individually led projects and continuous improvement activities.

Job qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years industrial electrical/programming experience or two-year technical degree.
• PLC experience; multiple platforms such as Allen Bradley PLC5, Control Logix, and Siemens programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of variable frequency drives, servo motors, and motor control systems up to 480 volts required.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify root causes (e.g. six sigma analysis) and propose and implement remedies.
• Ability to perform calibrations, installation and maintenance of process and analytical instrumentation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, troubleshoot and re-wire high speed and/or highly automated equipment such as AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, servo motors, and PLC I/O modules.
• Strong computer skills required; Microsoft Office Excel proficiency as well as computerized maintenance management systems experience.
• Experience in computer networking (routers, Ethernet, switches, etc.).
• Mechanical troubleshooting experience in high-speed packaging and/or highly automated continuous process environment (valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, lube routes).
