Overview of the role

The Operations Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the performance of sewage, water, and irrigation pump stations. The role focuses on ensuring efficient operations and exploring opportunities to reduce consumption. Working within the utility services division, the specialist will align actions with strategic priorities and coordinate closely with Development Management to facilitate seamless handover processes.

What you will do

General

• Operate sewage pump stations, ensuring proper function of piping networks to the main assets.
• Manage water pump stations, including overseeing networks to the main assets.
• Handle irrigation pump stations and maintain network operations to main assets.
• Identify potential opportunities to reduce the consumption of resources across all pump stations.
• Assist in the handover process in coordination with Development Management.

Required skills to be successful

• Mechanical expertise related to pump stations.
• Advanced knowledge in sustainability practices.
• Excellent communication skills to overcome risk of improper communication with other business units.
• Proficient in problem-solving and identifying operational efficiencies.

What qualifies you for the role

• Mechanical background or related technical expertise.
• Experience in operating and managing pump stations.
• Advanced sustainability certificates are preferable.
• Strong ability in problem solving and persistence.
