Messaging Services Lead

Job description / Role

Purpose of the job

Handling Messaging services as Dev-Ops model, starting from feasibility study, integration , Go-live activities, in addition to handling operational tasks after going live.

Duties and responsibilities

- Handling different messaging systems & services, Dev-Ops responsibilities.
- Managing the feasibility study for any new Messaging Service, feature, or product
- Monitoring messaging Traffic and handle any capacity expansion or SW upgrade needed
- Inspecting L2 Support for complains or issues related to Messaging either from customers or internal/ external applications connected to SMSC
- Performing Work Orders on all Messaging nodes ( new creations / deletion / Traffic Routing ,etc)
- Conducting Daily checks on all Messaging nodes , and take the necessary action in case of any issue noticed
- Handling Incidents with Vendor and manage its technical investigation till closure

Education

- Bachelor degree in Telecommunication and Electronics Engineering or Computer Science

Experience

- 0-2 years of experience in telecom industry.

Skills and abilities

- Very good English both written and spoken.
- Very good Microsoft office knowledge.
- Good UNIX admin skills.
- Basic networking skills.
- Project management Skills
