Job Description
- Manage MS VBA SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
- Manage Disk space.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
- Provide support for critical production systems.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
- Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other team members.
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to work and information.
- Perform any other duties assigned to him/her related to the nature of the work.

Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
- Proficiency in SQL querying and scripting
- Experience in database design, implementation, and maintenance
- Strong understanding of database security and performance tuning
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues
- Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures
- Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills
- 3 years of experience in MS VBA SQL Server Administration.
- Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
- Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory.
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
