Mondelez International is currently seeking a Nutrition Strategy and Communication Senior Specialist for its MEA (Middle East & Africa) region who can drive nutrition communication initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for supporting Biscuits, Chocolate, Meals, and Beverages categories and advancing nutrition strategies and programs.

The position will be located in Cairo, Egypt at the head office and reports to the Nutrition Strategy & Communications AMEA (Asia Middle East & Africa) Manager within the Scientific & Regulatory Affairs/Nutrition function. Interactions will be across multiple functional groups within Mondelez International AMEA and globally.

Main Responsibilities

- Advance nutrition & well being-related message/claim development working with marketing teams, consumer insights, scientific/regulatory affairs, nutrition research, and legal. Adapt global for local context as needed. Provide marketing teams with support across various communication media (packaging, advertising, social media, etc.)
- Collaborate with Scientific/Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Affairs supporting nutrition-related communication driving our external Well being agenda
- Lead execution of local health influencer outreach programs and nutrition conference strategies to drive brand credibility and growth
- Run internal nutrition & well being education programs increasing knowledge and awareness on relevant topics amongst stakeholders
- Stay abreast with the changing external environment including trends, competitive landscape and evolving nutrition science, identifying opportunities and implications to the business

Requirements

Qualifications

- Minimum BSc degree in Human Nutrition or a related field is required. Dietitian/Nutritionist accredited or registered with the official professional nutrition body is preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years in nutrition communications or nutrition affairs issues management, preferably in food industry; a good understanding of relevant food regulations and claim application is essential. PR agency experience, or experience working with an agency, strongly desired.
- Understanding of applied nutrition and industry, government, and professional health community practices related to food and nutrition issues
- Excellent communicator with the ability to translate scientific knowledge into relevant and credible messages and deliver powerful presentations
- Experience identifying consumer driven nutrition insights, trends, and opportunities, and connecting with scientific knowledge to develop simple, accurate, and justifiable consumer messages that drive sales
- Strong influencing/credibility skills
- Project management skills, ability to multi-task, and meet multiple deadlines
- Some technical knowledge of food processes, technologies, ingredients and formulae
- Ability to handle complexity, working with cross country/category teams as well as a large number of internal partners
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in social media and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
