Role Summary:

The Commercial Operations Leader drives and ensures that Primary and Referral Care organization receives an integrated commercial operations service and owns the full wing-to-wing commercial /ITO process: Tender and RFP management, go/no-go decision making, proposal generation, hand-over to OTR, order booking and backlog quality.
The role reports into Africa com-ops director

Essential Responsibilities:

- Responsible for driving the Wing-to-Wing commercial operations activities including quotation, pricing, Policy 5.0, orders quality, overseeing booking, and backlog quality.
- Leading deals review & decision meetings to ensure that technical and commercial risks are addressed and incorporate into Proposals.
- Coordinating with the Salesforce, Modalities, and Finance to forecast and report Progress on Orders for the financial periods.
- Driving the quality of P&RC OpMechs and ensure alignment of commercial execution priorities, actions, progress, and functional escalation requests and reporting in the relevant systems/platforms.
- Keeping track and record Tender and RFP opportunities and publications
- Price and margin analysis to assist deal decision making
- Aligning and coordinating with LCT teams on cross functions P&RC deals and forecast.
- Ensuring adherence to Policy 5.0/6.0 ("R")
- Highlights and communicates risks outside company standards
- Ensures that deal risks are properly assessed and mitigated (flags approved by relevant functions per DoA matrix)
- Presents overall risk profile during deal strategy discussions
- Co-develops appropriate Terms and Conditions for standard customer proposals (per types) based on risk/reward analysis
- Ensuring quality and accuracy of GE customer proposals
- Ensuring that commercial tools are updated regularly by P&RC commercial team
- Ensuring that all pre-order bookings checks have been done with handover in the relevant systems/platforms of order documents to OOM and contributes to the handover reviews.

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Strong business acumen and 10+ years' experience in Sales/Services/Commercial/Financial roles
- Proven success in commercial proposal development
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skill
- Ability to interact effectively with various types of people with ability to articulate & build convincing arguments internally and externally.
- Solid business knowledge and understanding
- High work standard and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on tight timelines
- Action and results oriented
