Job description / Role
Job Purpose: Actively develop and manage all facets in purchase of Egyptian Cotton.
Position Description and Responsibilities:
• Procurement/ sourcing of around 5,000 tons of Egyptian cotton from domestic markets.
• Controlling , Organizing, Supervising & Quality assessment activities related to Egyptian cotton procurement & logistics etc.
• Bargain Negotiation, Approval of Cotton lots & Regular Follow up with commission Agent, Brokers regarding day to day market position in term of price, Quality,Quantity,Payment delivery etc.
• Extensive surveying and analyzing supply & demand scenarios at various levels and crop forecasting.
• Supervision of grading and physical testing of Egyptian cotton.
• Conducting extensive surveys of the Egyptian cotton crop.
Additional Information: The suitable candidate will be based in Cairo, Egypt; operating from home and would travel to prospective locations across Egypt and other sourcing hubs.
Requirements
• University Qualifications: Any qualification
• 10 + Yrs of experience in Purchase of Egyptian cotton
• Specialist knowledge: Purchase of Egyptian cotton
• Age Range: 30 - 50+ Yrs
• Gender Preference: Male
• Nationality Preference: Egyptian
• Language Fluency: English, Arabic
• Current Location: Egypt
