Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This is an expert job level. Lead and implement all plant quality assurance and control programs, practices and procedures in support of established production standards and company business objectives. Ensure the product of a company meet quality standards. Identify the problems and issues regarding quality of the products and also has to make recommendation to the higher authorities. Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervise.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order) 

• Manage & Ensure all day-to-day Pressure control equipment’s / Machine Shop Operations are done to meet the job requirements on time
• Ensure all Pressure control equipment’s / Machine shop are Serviced & Maintained acceptable to Weatherford procedures & current industry standards.
• Coordinate & manage all OEM Repair & Recertification of Pressure control tools.
• Supervise & Work with other members of staff as a team.
• Manage & ensure all day to day Pressure Control Equipment/Machine Shop Operations are done to meet the job requirements on time
• Ensure all Pressure Control Equipment/Machine Shop are serviced & maintained acceptable to Weatherford procedures & current industry standards
• Co-ordinate & manage all OEM Repair & Recertification of Pressure Control Tools
• Supervisor & work with other members of staff as a team
• Ensure Weatherford QHSSE Policies are timely implemented and following in all PCE/ Machine shop operations and participate in QHSSE activities
• Preparing, Leading and Interacting with External / internal audits.
• Prepares and maintains records of inspection or in case of discrepancy, records number of defective items and informs the supervisor.
• Uses measurement equipment to inspect all manufactured and repaired equipment to ensure conformance with recognized standards (i.e., The American Petroleum Institute (API)), Tenaris, Vam, JFE, mechanical drawings and manufacturing technical specifications.
• Records inspection, examination, and testing data.
• Initiates non-conforming product/equipment reports upon detection of any non-conforming products or initiates a routing sheet certifying the repair/manufacture is successfully completed.
• Identify root cause issues and lead implementation of corrective actions when needed.
• On as needed basis, may go to customers’ facilities (yard) to perform equipment inspection.
• Examines and inspects purchased raw materials to ensure compliance with Weatherford’ requirements, pertinent purchase order & suppliers’ material test certificate.
• Prepares receiving reports and files them.
• Tests and calibrates measurements of tools/instruments and compares their accuracy to Weatherford-established standards and instrument’s manuals to ensure they are measuring correctly. Calibrating the equipment is performed on a quarterly or semi-annual basis, based on the type of the instrument.
• Produces technical sketches and drawings to be used by the machine technicians for all machine shop work, based on customers’ requirements.
• Provides leadership and training to any lower-level QC Inspectors on the use of equipment and procedures to be followed.
• Data management of the PO, Review on MTR and OC to be uploaded in Accorde system.
• Coordination with Branch Plant Representatives and Offshore Team for Status Reports, MTR Issues.
• Working for various product lines and manufacturing branch plant as assigned as a Quality checker for Purchases Orders and Material Test Reports (MTR)
• Excellent Knowledge about purchase process followed in manufacturing plant in an MNC and material specification and standards in the Industry and Weatherford material specification.
• Lead the Offshore Team and Review the scanning of Work Orders, Material Test Reports, Certificates of Compliance and other associated documentation for traceability.
• Ability to understand and read engineering drawings of components and assemblies.
• Communicate and Coordinate with Branch Plant Representatives and Teams for MTR Issues, Requirements to meet the Expectations.
• Preparation of documentation for Quality and Purchase orders.
• Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
• Know and understand Weatherford and Enterprise Excellence Program and the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
• Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
• Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements. Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Requirements

• 3 -7 years of experience in quality control inspection with an Oil & Gas company.
• Preferable quality control inspection activities for pressure control equipment / Machine Shop Operations
• Excellent purchase process knowledge.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Preferably from Oil and Gas industry.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Minimum Qualification: BSc degree Mechanical Engineering
• Must be eligible to work in Egypt
