Working as part of a cross-functional team, you are recognized internally as a technical expert in an area of importance to the RDQ function. You identify, define and solve complex business problems by applying your broad and in-depth technical knowledge. As an expert in your technical specialty, this leadership role requires you to interact with senior management and cross-functional teams to meet current and future strategic demands of the business. How you will contribute You will plan, lead and manage complex technically focused projects while using your technical expertise to guide, direct and influence activities lead by others. To ensure the right solutions are developed, you will use consumer knowledge and your technical expertise to identify future opportunities and to execute programs with technical rigor. This role will require you to work with cross-functional partners develop and align resource and budget needs for projects. You will be responsible for the technical outcomes of developments related to evaluating new ingredients, formulas, recipes and processes and understanding the impact on scale up between laboratory and production facilities. You will also be responsible for quantifying the technical risks to make recommendations and influence stakeholders. This role is a key member of the R&D AMEA regional Biscuit & Baked Goods Leadership Team . Leading a team of R&D professionals in product development, Identifying and prioritizing development activities for the Biscuit and Baked Goods. Lead teams that deliver R&D activities needed to complete new product development, renovation, quality improvement, and business continuity that develop portfolios for short, medium and long term (always securing the desired consumer experience) . What you need to know about this position: You are accountable for delivering and building R&D technical programs . You will work with a cross-functional partner to define, initiate and lead teams to successfully deliver business goals using technical rigor, consumer centricity and best practices while effectively allocating resources and prioritizing workloads. Influencing skills are importan t in this role because you will use them to educate business stakeholders about technical risks, ensuring mitigation plans, clear communication and understanding to allow for effective cross-functional decision making. You will also create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications. As a technical and people leader, you demonstrate your own high levels of technical rigor and expertise and that of your team by tapping into internal and external resources to stay up-to-date on the latest best practices and to continuously identify opportunities for improvement, keeping in mind consumers' desires and needs.
