Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are currently looking for a Bilingual Secretary (English & Arabic) to join our Banking and Finance team in Cairo.

Primary Job Purpose:

• Writing common forms of legal correspondence
• Help prepare legal documents
• Assist associates by using their thorough knowledge of how to file legal documents and in some cases, court room procedures
• Generate a lot of legal content that is used for communication between attorneys and their clients
• Carry out tasks that require them to answer phones, run errands, coordinate meetings and greet visitors

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Must familiarize themselves with legal terminology
• Expected to perofrm typing and transcription of documentation as required by the associate/partner
• Compose and type letters, memos, correspondence and reports
• Participate in the billing process, new matter and closing matter request forms, enter monthly timesheets as well as reminder for client payments and following up client billing queries with finance
• Participate in meetings for minutes, amend routine legal documents and correspondence as well as proof read when required
• Expected to adhere to the Firm's policies and procedures

Requirements

• Perform typing and dictation duties
• Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
• Help others to meet their objectives and complete assignments.
• Write, transcribe, format and proof read work with a high degree of accuracy and minimum of supervision.
• Expereince: 1-2 years in legal field is preferable or other business (however, fresh candidates with strong profiles will also be considered)
• Secondary School Graduate.
• Written and spoken English.
• Previous legal secretarial experience is preferable
• Type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office, E. Mail
• Motivated, punctual, willing to learn and work in a team.
