Job description

• Coordinates and oversees search and seizure activities and conducts investigations as assigned.
• Ensures civil rights are not violated and all proceedings are in compliance with Department of Labor, company and legal guidelines.
• Maintains effective public contact and communication.
• Ensures compliance with health and safety practices.
• Ensures compliance with Department of Labor guidelines and the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program regulations.
• Conducts in-service training for center staff as required.
• Conducts training for subordinates in all aspects of center safety and security. Must report unsafe conditions to supervisor anytime an unsafe condition arises.
• Completes required security logs, documents and records in a timely manner.
• Controls disturbances and assists staff in de-escalating volatile situations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Three years of security or law enforcement experience, one of which was in a supervisory capacity.
• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field preferred; or a combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Current first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification preferred.

Additional information

• Experience is an asset.
• Prior experience working with Opera or a related system.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
