Job description / Role
Reporting to the Clients Project Director on a major project under construction in Egypt.
The role of the Senior Commercial Manager will be to ensure the cost performance of the project through the management of the Sub Consultants and appointed Contractors.
- Plan, develop, and supervise all project cost and commercial functions ensuring that all project reporting, cash flow, budgets and forecasts comply with the client requirements.
- Work alongside the Senior Management Team in the development, implementation and management of controls and commercial procedures.
- Responsible for the procurement and commercial management of all pre and post contract stages of the project which will be awarded to local and international consultants and contractors.
- To lead and motivate a multi-cultural team and ensure all commercial objectives are delivered.
- Part of the senior management team in a client facing role.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Commercial or related subject is preferred.
- Chartered status or Member of a professional institution, preferred.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Earned Value Management.
- Comprehend, analyse and assess budgets, cost plans, cash flows, consultant and contractor applications and overseeing the variation and change order process.
- Challenge and seek to improve the project deliverables.
- Drive innovation and better ways of working.
