Senior Electrical Inspector

Job description / Role

Description

Conduct inspections of electrical installations, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Review and evaluate electrical plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure they adhere to project requirements.
Coordinate with contractors and project teams to schedule inspections and ensure timely completion of work.
Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, deficiencies, and corrective actions required.
Assist in the development and implementation of inspection procedures and guidelines.
Provide technical guidance and support to contractors and site personnel regarding electrical work.
Monitor and verify compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Participate in project meetings and communicate inspection results to project stakeholders.
Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to electrical installations.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Qualification / Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
4–6 years of relevant fieldwork in electrical inspection or a similar role.

Practical Experience

• Inspecting internal and external electrical systems, including power, lighting, and low current systems
• Reviewing electrical shop drawings and implementation against design requirements
• Checking distribution panels, conduits, cabling systems, and safety devices
• Ensuring all electrical work complies with the Saudi Electrical Code and international standards
• Compiling comprehensive reports covering electrical inspections and deficiencies

Technical Requirements

• Proficient in using standard electrical testing and inspection tools
• Well-versed in NEC, SBC, and IEC electrical codes and practices
• Skilled in AutoCAD for electrical system verification
• Ability to accurately identify and troubleshoot electrical issues during inspections
