Work you’ll do (core responsibilities)

Lead audit engagements: Plan, execute, and finalize audits, managing all phases from initial planning to completion.

Manage audit teams: Supervise, mentor, and train junior auditors, assigning tasks, and reviewing their work for accuracy and compliance, fostering their professional development.

Conduct risk assessments: Identify high-risk areas and develop appropriate audit strategies and procedures to address them.

Review financial statements: Analyze financial records, accounts, and other data to assess accuracy and compliance with standards like IFRS and ISA.

Communicate with clients: Maintain effective communication with clients on data requests and internal control issues.

Prepare and present reports: Create detailed audit reports and management letters that communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications and experience (required and preferred)

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 5+ years of experience in external audit
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g., Basel III)
  • Experience with auditing clients in various industries, including financial services, healthcare, or technology

Preferred:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)/Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Associate Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA)
