What you'll do

The Systems Engineer delivers, maintains, and optimizes infrastructure, database, and middleware capabilities to support and enable the development and operations of modules and solutions enabling integration and continuous delivery, maximizing the speed and quality of delivery across teams. This includes the provision of infrastructure-related level two and level three incident and problem management. Typically reports to the Chapter Lead.

Responsibilities

1. Design and architecture:
   • Develop and design scalable, high-performance software architectures.
   • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for new applications or systems.
2. Development and implementation:
   • Write, modify, and debug complex Java code.
   • Implement secure and efficient APIs, microservices, and back-end systems.
   • Integrate third-party services and databases.
3. Team leadership and mentoring:
   • Train and mentor junior developers to help them grow in their roles.
4. Quality assurance:
   • Conduct code reviews and implement best practices.
   • Ensure applications meet high-performance, scalability, and security standards.
5. Collaboration:
   • Manage stakeholder communications and technical updates.
6. Problem-solving and troubleshooting:
   • Diagnose complex issues in production environments and provide solutions promptly.
   • Optimize and refactor existing code to improve maintainability.
7. Continuous learning:
   • Stay updated with emerging Java technologies and frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.

Not a perfect fit?

• Bachelor's degree in computer science and/or engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years working experience.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot framework and Spring Cloud/Spring Security.
• Solid experience working on Java 8 or 17 version.
• Good knowledge and experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience developing solutions to complex problems for enterprise-wide projects.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and AWS.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Very good in English is a must.
• Excellent communication skills.
