Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

Mechanical design review, verification, testing, and implementation of mechanical equipment and automation systems.

• Develop structural designs for products using CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other software programs.
• Review and develop project requirements and system specifications based on international standards, industrial requirements, and regulations.
• Review and develop mechanical design systems/structures.
• Review and verify the manufacturing drawings and bill of materials.
• Design electro-mechanical components and follow up on implementation.
• Identify full technical specifications of parts to execute the design.
• Identify quality control milestone checkpoints for the production and assembly process.
• Review and issue in the development and application of test plans.
• Integrate the system and perform FAT and SAT processes and documentation.
• Follow up on product assembly and project commissioning.
• Ensure all design processes comply with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
• Attend coordination and kick-off meetings as necessary.
• Investigate the cause of equipment and system failures.
• Recommend design modifications to ensure there will be no malfunctions in the system or machine.
• Perform other tasks as required.

Education

• Bachelor of Engineering with a specialization in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
