Job description / Role
Guildhall is working with a top tier contractor that is constructing iconic buildings in a brand new development in Cairo, Egypt.
We are looking for talented Mechanical HVAC Engineers that have worked on key building projects such as high rise, mixed use and iconic residences.
The role:
- To liaise with design teams and HVAC sub-contractors.
- Ensure Electrical sub-contractors receive the information needed to progress the Mechanical installation in accordance with the programme.
- Organize and chair weekly co-ordination meetings with the Mechanical sub-contractors and design teams.
- Ensure Electrical sub-contractors produce the following documents: Coordinated Mechanical drawings, Procurement schedules, Programmes, Progress reports, Requests for information.
- Attend project team meetings as required
- Track the progress of Mechanical sub-contractors against the main programme and report any variances to the Contracts Manager
- Coordinate with Sub-contractor for Mechanical clearances.
- Monitor out site inspections of the Mechanical works and timely clearances to main contractor.
- Regularly check the installation against the Mechanical specification and drawings
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in HVAC
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experienced working either in Egypt or the Middle-East
- Capable of leading large scale projects in Hospitality, Mixed use, Residential, commercial and High rise
- Fluent in English, Fluency in Arabic would be an advantage
