Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning, implementing and managing OpenShift-based container platforms for telecom workloads.

OpenShift deployment and management: deploy and manage OpenShift clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement OpenShift solutions that meet the requirements of telecom infrastructure.

Infrastructure design and optimization: collaborate with network and systems engineering teams to design and optimize the underlying infrastructure for OpenShift deployments.

Ensure efficient resource utilization, security, and compliance with industry standards.

Application containerization: assist application development teams in containerizing applications for deployment on OpenShift.

Provide guidance and expertise on best practices for containerization, including the use of Docker and Kubernetes.

Automation and orchestration: develop automation scripts and tools to streamline the deployment and management of OpenShift clusters.

Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for efficient application delivery.

Monitoring and performance optimization: implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of OpenShift clusters.

Identify areas for optimization and implement strategies to improve resource utilization and application performance.

Documentation and knowledge sharing: create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, installation guides, and troubleshooting procedures.

Share knowledge and provide training to junior team members.

Stay updated with emerging technologies: keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in OpenShift and related technologies.

Evaluate new tools and technologies that can enhance the OpenShift ecosystem and contribute to digital transformation goals.

Technical skills

Experience in deploying and managing container clusters in a production environment, preferably within the telecommunications industry.

Hands-on experience on containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

Hands-on experience on RedHat OpenShift, RedHat ACM, and RedHat ACS. Solid understanding of networking concepts, virtualization, and cloud technologies.

Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Ansible, Shell, or Python.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
