The role:
Senior Project Manager - Retail
Part of the senior management team in a client facing, project management consultancy role.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading the team in the delivery of a retail mall expansion project.
• Assisting the development of the project management strategy in line with the ‘Mace way’.
• Managing the procurement of sub-consultants and subcontractors required for all of the construction packages.
• Working alongside with the senior project manager for the design management, delivery, quality time, cost and handover of these key packages.
• Supporting in the preparation of programs for the design, construction and general delivery of projects.
• Managing the day to day activities and interfaces for support staff allocated to assist in the delivery of the projects.
• Preparing and monitoring forecasts, initiate corrective action where required.
• Conducting meetings as required for the effective delivery of projects.
• Providing reports that are concise and addressing the issues that are relevant to recipient.
• Reviewing overall project status with the project management, project controls, commercial teams and recommend corrective action where necessary.
It is essential that you can demonstrate a clear, systematic approach to solving complex technical and aesthetic issues and are able to communicate solutions in an effective, high level manner.
Requirements
Your experience, knowledge and skills need to include:
• Previous working experience in a similar role is essential.
• Previous Egyptian project experience is essential for client approval.
• Retail project experience is required.
• A main contracting, management contracting, construction management, project management or engineering background are all acceptable.
• A good team leader and assertive in the right manner.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
• A degree qualification is essential for client approval.
• Professional memberships are preferred.
