Senior Specifications Writer

Job Summary
• The Senior Specifications Writer is a key member of the Quantity Surveying Section in the design center. He leads a team of Specifications Engineers during the research, development and consolidation of technical specifications of materials for inclusion in tender documents and Bills of Quantities for design projects according to project category and requirements.
• The jobholder ensures that all specifications are aligned with the latest international codes and standards and the most current regulations of the local authorities

Requirements

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience: 10+ years in design and construction in any of the following (structure, architecture, wet utilities ,landscape, roads)
• In depth knowledge of LEED green and smart materials specifications

Skills
• Understanding of international engineering standards and codes
• Knowledge of local engineering-related rules and regulations in the Middle East
• Good communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is an advantage
