Analyze creditworthiness of potential clients by assessing financial statements, credit scores, and payment histories to minimize default risks.
Ensure adherence to company credit policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance.
Develop and execute strategies to mitigate credit risks, including setting credit limits and recommending adjustments.
Supervise and guide junior analysts and credit officers, ensuring high-quality risk assessments and consistent performance.
Oversee the health of the credit portfolio by identifying early warning signs of default and taking proactive measures.
Make decisions on loan approvals or escalate complex cases to higher management for review.
Prepare detailed risk assessment reports for senior management, highlighting trends, potential issues, and solutions.
Work closely with sales, collections, and legal teams to align credit risk objectives with business goals.
Use advanced tools and software to enhance risk assessment efficiency and accuracy.
Identify areas for improvement in the credit assessment process and recommend enhancements to ensure best practices.
