Job description / Role

Storage and Replication Management (Dell EMC PowerMax/VMAX & SRDF)

Manage, configure, and provision storage on Dell EMC PowerMax/VMAX enterprise storage arrays.
Implement and maintain SRDF (Symmetrix Remote Data Facility) configurations for synchronous and asynchronous replication across data centers.
Plan and execute disaster recovery (DR) drills and failover/failback procedures related to SRDF.
Perform capacity planning and optimization to ensure efficient utilization of storage resources.
Execute firmware upgrades and patching on storage array components.

SAN Fabric Management (Brocade)

Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot the Brocade Fibre Channel SAN fabric environment.
Manage Fibre Channel routing, port utilization, and interconnects within the SAN.

Performance and Optimization

Proactively monitor storage and SAN performance metrics (latency, throughput, IOPS) to identify bottlenecks.
Perform performance tuning across the storage and fabric layers to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
Utilize native tools (e.g., Unisphere, Brocade Network Advisor) for detailed analysis and reporting.

General Operations

Manage incident, problem, and change management processes related to the storage infrastructure.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all storage and SAN configurations, procedures, and runbooks.
Collaborate with server, virtualization, and application teams to address performance issues and new storage requirements.

Requirements

• 3 years of practical experience as a Storage Engineer or Administrator.
• Proven, in-depth, hands-on experience with Dell EMC PowerMax (or VMAX).
• Mandatory experience with SRDF (Symmetrix Remote Data Facility) configuration and operation.
• Strong experience in administering and troubleshooting Brocade SAN switches and their associated management tools.
• Expert-level knowledge of zoning, LUN masking, and Fibre Channel protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to perform storage performance monitoring and tuning.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Dell EMC Specialist/Expert certifications, Brocade Certified Fabric Administrator).
• Experience with other replication technologies (e.g., RecoverPoint, VPLEX) is a plus.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
