Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused server to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. As a server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience by providing attentive, efficient, and friendly service.

• Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner
• Present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverage offerings
• Take accurate orders and communicate them effectively to the kitchen staff
• Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure tables are properly set and maintained throughout service
• Process payments and handle cash and credit transactions accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure smooth service flow
• Anticipate and address guest needs proactively
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Assist with side work and closing duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience as a server in a restaurant setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in English; ability to speak, read, and understand the language
• Basic math skills for handling cash and credit transactions
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Knowledge of food and beverage items, including common allergens
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
• Ability to balance and carry a full service tray comfortably
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
• Clean and professional appearance
• Must be able to pass a background check

Hotel overview: Overlooking one of Cairo's most beautiful Nile views, Nile City Towers complex is a business destination that claims Egypt's corporate success. The spectacular reception leads the way to 543 elegantly designed rooms, suites, restaurants, bars and a health club on the 25th floor with a comprehensive range of fitness facilities including a signature Willow Stream Spa as well as a sky-high swimming pool.

Physical aspects of position (include but are not limited to):

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.

Visa requirements: Must be legally permitted to work in Egypt.
