We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Project Manager. This will be a 3-month contract-to-hire position. The ability to obtain a public trust clearance is required.
ServiceNow project manager description
The ServiceNow Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management of all ServiceNow projects. This includes developing and/or overseeing plans for automated data processing systems from project inception to closeout. The role involves analyzing information to be processed, defining and analyzing problems, and developing project phases from initiation to closeout.
The Project Manager will work closely with the Program Manager to discuss project prioritization and resourcing. Once the project has been approved, the Project Manager will coordinate all project kick-off meetings and internal meetings with the assigned Business Analyst and Development Team to start the project initiation phase. The Project Manager will utilize ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Portfolio Project Management (PPM), Demand Management, Agile 2.0, and Test Management 2.0. The ServiceNow Project Manager should have a high-level knowledge of generative AI and ServiceNow Now Assist to support AI projects that will be implemented in the near future.
The ServiceNow Project Manager will be responsible for removing blockers and ensuring that the team has all the support required to move forward on project tasks. The Project Manager will review tasks and risks with the team and provide coaching and guidance to project team members. The Project Manager will lead all project task risk meetings, ensure risks are mitigated, and address any additional concerns with the team.
The Project Manager will support the Program Manager in developing business plans and continual service improvements, support corporate initiatives, and ensure constant collaboration on staffing, team member status, project status, customer support, service, and process improvements. The ServiceNow Project Manager also serves as a back-up to the ServiceNow Program Manager.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of ServiceNow project management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Certified Scrum Master certification
- ServiceNow Admin, SPM, PPM, Agile 2.0 training or certifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Required skills
- Experience in agile development project management
- Experience working on large ServiceNow projects or program teams of 20+ members
- Expertise in agile development teams and knowledge of all agile development phases
- Understanding of the Business Process Analyst role with ability to lead and support Business Process Analysts
- Expertise in ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Manager (SPM), Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Demand Management, Agile 2.0, and Test 2.0
- Experience leading agile project teams through development phases and target timelines
- Strong organizational skills and ability to ensure teams complete tasks and projects progress according to daily or weekly timelines
- Ability to manage 5-10 projects at a time, with project size varying depending on level of effort
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Team player who is a leader and supportive to the project team
- Ability to adapt and prioritize work independently in a dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong writing skills and experience developing plans such as communications plans, user guides, project/program manager plans, training plans, etc.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, HRSD, SPM, SecOps, ITAM (SAM/HAM Pro), Employee Center Portal, Now Assist, and Knowledge Management
- Serve as a back-up Scrum Master and back-up to Program Manager when needed
Required clearance
Candidate must be able to obtain a public trust clearance for this role.
