Introduction
The STA is the trusted technical advisor to the clients and creates, maintain strong, trusted client relationships at all levels within the client's business. STA designs cross portfolio solution recommendations, applying their broad technical skills, industry knowledge and business acumen expertise. STA helps clients envision the desired business outcomes that can be achieved through digital reinvention and realized through IBM's hybrid cloud solutions, innovative capabilities, and partnership.
For IBM teams, the STA has overall technical account leadership responsibilities. STA designs solutions and drive software technical innovation and sales revenue.

As Software Technical Architect you will
- Help our clients invest in solutions from across the IBM portfolio that will give them a competitive advantage.
- Focus on broad IT strategic topics and solutions like hybrid cloud, IT modernization, DevOps, automation, Analytics, AI, Security, etc.
- Have technical expertise and a deep understanding of client's business to identify and create solutions.
- Be working in an environment where project may be different from the last and where your skills, expertise and determination will be key.
- Serve as a technical point of contact between IBM and clients, leading by example and sharing best practices

Your Role and Responsibilities
- Provide architectural and technical leadership, and build long-lasting relationships for clients across all the spectrum of the client's roles e.g., CxO, LoB, Architects, Dev., etc.
- Demonstrate client-defined value of IBM Software solutions capabilities that address the client's growth initiatives and business challenges
- Translate client business and technical requirements into solution requirements, architecture and solution design.
- Design, build , and present solutions to clients
- Lead the technical validation process with clients, including solutions presentations and demonstrations, demos, technical deep dive sessions, workshops, proofs of concept (PoCs), MVPs, etc.
- Provide technical leadership to the Sales team and supporting them with recommendations for development and positioning IBM Software solutions to help them achieve sales quotas
- Demonstrate expertise and technical leadership by sharing knowledge and experiences, both externally and internally

Requirements

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 8+ years of experience working in IT, as a sale's technical specialist, engineer, consultant, or solutions architect or in a relevant role and at least 3 years of experience working as an IT Architect is expected

Proven experience in IT Architecture work, such as:
- Understand business and technical problems, formulate hypotheses and test conclusions to influence solution design
- Plan and perform solutions, from architecture, solution design, testing, evaluation to implementation
- Analyze Information Systems Architecture
- Perform Architecture Gap Analysis
- Develop Architecture Transition Plan
- Design Architecture Governance
- Architectural and Technical leadership
- Experience working with account teams supporting them with the solution development and delivery, business cases, and commercial proposals
- Broad understanding and experience in IT strategic topics and solutions like Hybrid cloud, Automation, IT modernization, DevOps, Analytics, AI, Security, etc.
- Willing to learn and try new technologies, aiming to design client's solutions and architectures
- Ability to t ake a user-centric approach to design, creat e, build and lead compelling prototypes , demos, technical validations, PoCs and MVPs
- Flexibility to work with a geographically distributed remote working team
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and LOCAL language

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience with IBM Software solutions; any relevant certification is a plus
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Cloud Platform and Red Hat solutions ; any relevant certification is a plus
- Experience with other open source and private cloud solutions like Docker, Kubernetes, Anthos, Rancher, VMware Tanzu, etc.; any relevant certification is a plus
- Experience with public cloud infrastructure like IBM Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP); any relevant certification is a plus
- Experience with setting DevOps environments and building CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with on-premise architectuire solutions migration to the cloud
- Experience with Enterprise Architecture best practices, such as developing and building solutions based on The Enterprise Framework and The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)
