Job description / Role
Role Purpose
The Strategy, Planning is accountable for and managing a team in the:
- Developing, aligning and updating department strategy and liaising with Vodafone Group for best practices in business, new strategic initiatives, projects, and implementing group guidelines and KPIs.
- Leading the projects planning to ensure P&FM projects success.
- Overall management of department efficiency through implementing innovative processes and setting department's goals.
Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership
- Strategic Planning and Development
- Accountability: Develop and implement a comprehensive workplace and real estate strategy that aligns with organizational goals.
- Decision Ownership: Make decisions regarding the prioritization of workplace and real estate initiatives, including lease negotiations and site selection.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Consultation
- Accountability: Facilitate consultations with key stakeholders to gather insights and requirements for workplace and real estate projects.
- Decision Ownership: Determine the scope and direction of stakeholder engagement processes, particularly regarding real estate transactions.
- Project Governance and Oversight
- Accountability: Establish and enforce governance frameworks for workplace and real estate projects to ensure compliance and quality.
- Decision Ownership: Approve project plans, budgets, and timelines, including decisions on real estate acquisitions or disposals.
- Performance Monitoring and Evaluation
- Accountability: Monitor the progress and outcomes of workplace and real estate projects, providing regular updates to leadership.
- Decision Ownership: Decide on corrective actions when projects deviate from established plans or fail to meet performance metrics.
- Change Management and Communication
- Accountability: Lead change management initiatives related to workplace and real estate strategy implementation, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Decision Ownership: Make key decisions regarding communication strategies and the dissemination of information related to changes in real estate assets.
Core Competencies, Knowledge and Experience
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term workplace and real estate strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Project Management Expertise: Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMP) and tools, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects, including real estate transactions.
- Stakeholder Engagement Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders in both workplace and real estate contexts.
- Change Management Knowledge: Understanding of change management principles and practices to effectively lead transitions, especially during real estate changes.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Experience in analyzing data to inform decision-making and reporting on project performance and stakeholder satisfaction metrics in relation to real estate.
Must-Have Technical / Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: Degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Project Management Certification: Certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 to validate project management skills.
- Change Management Certification: Certification in change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) to demonstrate expertise in managing organizational change.
- Workplace and Real Estate Strategy Expertise: Knowledge of workplace design principles and real estate best practices, preferably with a certification or training in workplace strategy or real estate management.
- Data Analysis Proficiency: Skills in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) and experience in interpreting data to support decision-making processes.
Additional Qualifications
- Educational Background: Degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Project Management Certification: Certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 to validate project management skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of PC applications, including MS Office, AutoCAD, MS Project, and Primavera for project planning and design.
- Real Estate Expertise: In-depth understanding of real estate principles, market trends, and property management practices.
- Contract and Budget Management Experience: Proven experience in managing contracts and budgets related to real estate transactions and workplace projects.
