Engagement Manager

Job description / Role

Global Operations Management Consulting company that has been advising leading industrial companies around the world for over 20 years. Their expertise in Operation Excellence and transformation and strength is their team – a diverse team of individuals with experience across abroad range of industries, functions and disciplines. They are currently looking for Manager's to join their team in Germany.

Responsibilities:
• Managing the execution of complex consulting engagements to ensure the project and deliverables
• Meet or exceed the client’s requirements and expectations and deliver superior value to clients.
• Analyzing client challenges and structuring the project activities in line with the scope and objectives of the engagement.
• Leading and directing a diverse project team, overseeing the quality of the project delivery.
• Engaging and managing key stakeholders to ensure client’s expectations are fully met.
• Proactively identifying issues and risks, examining alternatives, and pursuing the optimal course of actions to minimize adverse impact and maximize project success.
• Managing and enhancing relationship with clients
• Working with Senior Managers and Principals to create innovative proposals to meet client needs, thereby developing new business leads and opportunities to grow the business.

Playing an active role in building the firm by:
• Participating and contributing to functional and/or industry networks with the aim of developing and sharing best practices.
• Mentoring / coaching junior colleagues to support their development within the organization.

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience:
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Sciences, or other related fields; MBA or Masters degree preferred
• 5+ years working with a leading management consulting firm or 8+ years working in the industry (e.g.oil and gas, manufacturing, mining, construction, etc.)
• Previous experience in safety, process safety, operational excellence or operational risk management programs in industrial clients is required
• Strong technical skills cultivated within an operations environment (i.e. process safety management, MIQA, etc.)
• Proven experience in leading complex business / operations transformation programs within the context of a rapidly changing environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to extensively interact with clients at all levels.
• Knowledge of challenges and growth opportunities for companies within Germany, Austria and Switzerland
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and German. A third European language will be a significant advantage
• Ability to travel extensively up to 80 % of monthly time.
