Planner Engineer

Job description / Role

Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who specializes in mission critical turnkey solutions. Employing over 750 professionals and deliver leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centre’s, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently seeking Planners to be based on a projects in Europe.

You will be Responsible for:
- Responsible for a project or portfolio of projects
- Responsible for all aspects of planning, as defined by the Planning SOP
- Reporting to Planning Department
- Reporting to Business Unit / Project Management
- Developing and maintaining schedules for pre-construction / construction / commissioning
- Developing and maintaining progress databases
- Progress reporting
- Milestone projections, delay / float path analysis
- Earned Value Management systems
- Monitoring schedule performance and productivity
- Auditing progress on site
- Attending schedule meetings, liaising with client and subcontractors
- Preparation of tender schedules
- Preparation of histograms
- Leading planning meetings
- Supporting weekly workface planning systems
- Resource / cash loading of schedules
- Providing data for payment applications
- Completing contract review reports
- Responsibility for quality and accuracy of schedules and reports
- Making relevant parties aware of issues and advising on solutions
- Recording delay and disruption
- Assisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputes
- Traveling to projects to carry out the above, if required
- Training staff, if required
- Covering Senior Project Planner responsibilities when required
- Exceptional Problem Solving capabilities

- 3 years+ experience in a similar role
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent IT Skills – High Competency in MS Excel is required
- Can-do Attitude
- EU Passport Holder
