Employment: Full Time

HSQE Officer - West Africa

Main Duties:
- The HSQE Officer is responsible for maintaining, and implementing the company Health, Safety, Quality and Environment (HSQE) Management System.
- The HSQE Officer will be fully responsible for implementing safe systems of work and safe behavioral practices at all levels of the organization.
- This position provides HSQE guidance to the organization and supports the operation process to maintain and continually improve the safety culture and performance, in line with the organization’s needs to comply with business objectives in the short, medium and long terms.
- Implement, and improve HSQE management systems, processes and procedures to support business operations in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
- Communicates information on the HSQE Management System throughout the organization and promotes HSE awareness through various communication channels i.e. TBT, inductions, training, campaigns, flyers, discussions, emails etc. in consultation with all relevant departments.
- Conduct HSQE and Compliance/Ethics (e.g., Anti-bribery) internal training as scheduled.
- Prepare HSQE documentation for clients/projects as per the requirements and in consultation with the Group HSQE Officer, Local Offices Country Heads and Group COO.
- Undertake HSQE inspections internally and with third parties (contractors) as per the approved inspection program of the company. Follows up on the preventive and / or corrective actions identified during the inspections and monitors the timely closing of the actions in coordination with other departments.
- Facilitate and review HSQE risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities in consultation with the operations team.
- Diligently performs any other reasonable work or related tasks at the request of his/her manager.

Reporting Line:
- HSQE department is under the Group COO. The HSQE Officer will report to the Country Manager of assigned local offices and to the Group HSQE.

Place of Work:
West Africa (e.g., assigned work location involves the following but not limited to: Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Gambia, Bissau)

Requirements:

Initial Training Required:
- HSQE related trainings required. Show certificates/evidence.

Work Experience:
- HSQE experience is required.
- HSQE experience in Shipping / Logistics or Oil and Gas industry is preferred.

Personal and behavioural traits:
- Team player, good communication skills, organization, and leadership skills

Technical knowledge:
- HSQE Management - ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001

Language Skills:
- English
- French

Computer Skills:
- Knowledgeable in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Outlook, Teams.

Salary:
USD 1,500 to 1,800 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
