Procurement Manager for Mining
Location: Coimbatore
Relevant Experience : 10+Years ( Mining machineries ).
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Mining Industry Mandatory

Job Summary:
Procurement Manager for mining machineries purchase. Candidates with procurement experience for mining machineries like Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Dump Trucks, Crane, Crusher, Spares for all machineries are preferable.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for mining/quarry operations
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
• Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs
• Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery
• Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials

• Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of the mining industry and the technical specifications of various mining equipment, including heavy machinery, drilling tools, and transport vehicles.
• Vendor and Supplier Management: Proven ability to identify, negotiate, and build strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers. Skilled at evaluating vendors based on quality, pricing, delivery timelines, and reliability.
• Cost Analysis and Negotiation: Expertise in conducting cost-benefit analysis and negotiating favorable terms, ensuring that the procurement process maximizes value and efficiency for the organization.
• Strategic Planning: Capable of developing long-term procurement strategies that align with the company’s operational goals and budget, while ensuring timely availability of equipment.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve procurement-related issues, such as equipment shortages, delayed deliveries, or product quality concerns, with quick and effective solutions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental laws related to mining equipment procurement. Ensures all purchased equipment adheres to compliance standards.
• Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing procurement projects from start to finish, ensuring that timelines are met and equipment is delivered on schedule for critical mining operations.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in managing procurement documentation, contracts, and equipment specifications to avoid errors, delays, and compliance issues.
• Strong Communication and Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with engineering, operations, and finance teams, as well as external suppliers, to align procurement activities with operational needs.
• Adaptability and Market Awareness: Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends, innovations, and market fluctuations in the mining equipment industry, and the ability to adapt procurement strategies accordingly.

Salary:
INR 50,000 to 100,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
