Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

On behalf of our client, we are searching for an exceptional Mandarin speaking Business Development Manager to drive B2B sales for their Air Freight and Logistics Vertical.

• Deliver planned levels of Additional and New Business from existing and targeted Customers,
• Creates a contact list for new business development opportunities in assigned market or territory,
• Fulfill daily telemarketing, calling and written communications to solicit new business opportunities,
• Where required, travel to customer offices and HQ’s in MEA & SEA regions
• Fulfill the design of contracts including scope of work development, assumption justification, operational plan development and pricing for new business,
• Acts as a resource to solve customer needs including transportation, rates for additional services and contract interpretation,
• Connects regularly with new and existing customers including: attendance at performance review meetings, process improvement or correction updates, and new business initiatives
• Tackle all customer issues, concerns and requests, reporting results to HQ for approval and completes negotiation with the customer,
• Assist in providing legal contracts, terms and conditions,
• Follow up and assist of applications for registration/change of data of the entities in the register of entrepreneurs.
• Initiate the drafting of documents as needed, seeking permissions & sign off as necessary
• Assist and follow up of coordination insurance needed.
• Wherever needed, obtaining licenses and permits required in connection with the activities carried out.
• Representing the company at government offices and customs authorities,
• Other duties and special projects as required and assigned

Requirements

• Mandarin or Cantonese at professional proficiency
• Bachelor’s degree university preferably to subjects related to Air Freight/Transportation.
• Minimum 4 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Candidates with vast contacts with potential consumers of Air Freight logistics are favourable.
• Previous experience with other large, international Air Freight/Logistics companies such as Aramex, DHL, FedEx etc
• Candidates having worked solely in sea freight and general cargo will not be considered for this role.

Essential Skills:
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Excellent experience in Air Freight and Logistics (B2B)
• Excellent track record of global sales, with a focus to drive MENA & SEA market share
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
