Job description / Role
Gulf Connexions is supporting the new released manpower plan for one of the largest International insurance companies in the world who have a large and ever-growing presence in the APAC region. We have been mandated to assist them in their search for a Chief Actuary to join their team based in Hong Kong.
As part of the senior management team within the business, this key and vital position will report directly into the Chief Executive Officer for APAC. The successful candidate who will be an agile and driven individual will be required to manage the entire actuarial services function and provide leadership and support relating to all actuarial activities.
Requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years post qualification actuarial experience.
• Significant knowledge of the APAC insurance market, industry and trends.
• Broad experience of actuarial pricing.
• Strong business acumen and an understanding of trends in the APAC insurance market.
• Ability to assess the implications of actuarial decisions to the business.
• Strong leadership, people management and project management skills.
• Superior organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst retaining a high degree of attention to detail.
