Accountant – Gurgaon, India

This is an opportunity to work for Mace International at our Indian head office in Gurgaon.

Reporting to the Country Management team and our Regional Finance team in Dubai, responsible for the day to day accounting function in India. To provide the Financial Controller with accurate financial data at regular intervals and on an as required basis.

Responsibilities:
• Maintenance of Purchases Ledger.
• Maintenance of Sales Ledger.
• Ensure accurate and timely issuance and processing of invoices to Clients
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of staff expenses & payments
• Timely management and updating of payroll data
• Assist in the production of monthly and yearly Management and Statutory Accounts in accordance with Mace Group financial deadlines
• Assist in the maintenance of the finance system in accordance with processes and procedures laid down.
• Maintain and updates filing
• Attach copied documents to processed document types onto finance system on a regular basis.
• Liaise with Mace Group head office finance teams regularly.
• Liaise with other Associate companies’ finance teams when required.
• Challenge current practices, looking to improve processes where ever possible.
• Any Ad hoc duties, reports and projects, as requested by the management.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
• Currently studying or seeking to study recognized Accounting Qualification (i.e. CMA / CIMA / ACCA / AAT etc) or equivalent
• 4-5 years minimum experience in similar role
• Articulate, Highly numerate with good analytical skills
• Strong Double entry skills and knowledge of accruals & prepayments
• Strong Microsoft Office skills especially Excel to Advanced level
• Commercial awareness
• The ability to communicate with staff and suppliers at all levels
• Ability to work under self-direction or as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize work load accordingly

Desirable
• Experience of working in region or industry
• Experience of using CODA Dream
