Assistant Commercial Manager - Gurgaon

The role

Assistant Commercial Manager

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing support to the commercial management team in the following areas.
• Providing commercial support to the Project Manager in the effective delivery of the contract
• Working with collaborative behaviours, in a spirit of mutual trust and cooperation.
• Assessing and making valuation of contractor’s applications and the processing of payment certificates in accordance with the contractual terms and conditions.
• Measuring drawings or on site to establish quantities and review payment applications.
• Administering of the early warning process.
• Assessing the day work records and accounts.
• Ensuring contractual deliverables are met.
• Reviewing of contractor deliveries including where appropriate attending valuation and progress review meetings.
• Monitoring and reporting on commercial aspects of the contract and/or project flagging issues at the earliest opportunity to the commercial manager.
• Providing advice and information on contract change including proposed scope changes, recommending appropriate action and producing required documentation.
• Preparing commercial cost reports and progress measurement.
• Undertaking final account reviews, settlements and reconciliations to facilitate project close out.

The successful applicant will need to have experience in coordinating and managing multiple stakeholders and demonstrate the ability to build robust, long term relationships and integrated teams.

It is essential that you can demonstrate a clear, systematic approach to solving complex technical and aesthetic issues and are able to communicate solutions in an effective, high level manner.

Requirements

Your experience, knowledge and skills need to include:

• With 10-12 years’ experience in residential, commercial and mixed-use is required.
• Ability to lead and motivate individuals.
• Good negotiating, influencing and communication skills to command professional respect at all levels is essential.
• Good working knowledge contracts, basic estimating, valuations, cost reporting and financial modelling.
• Local experience and language skills are essential.
• Strong organisation, prioritisation and planning skills.
• Good record management skills.
• Proficiency in use of MS Office.

Qualifications

• A degree qualification in quantity surveying or engineering is essential for client approval.
• Professional memberships i.e. MRICS are an advantage.
