Assistant Manager - Sales For Consumer Product - Selective Division

Job description / Role

We have a suitable opening in the function of Sales for the position of Assistant Manager – Sales for our Consumer Product – Selective Division (Cosmetics business). This is a managerial/individual contributor role where one has to apply and lead the commercial business strategy to achieve sell-in and sell-out sales targets, be responsible for the successful delivery of services and also contribute to the winning of new key customers. The candidate should have 5 - 7 years of relevant experience. The location of the job will be in Delhi and candidates from FMCG, consumer goods or companies catering to beauty industry will be given advantage. The details of the job are given below:

Job Responsibilities:

Business & Market Development
• Driving Business Volume, Growth(offtakes)
• Identify the Opportunities in Market ( Semi selective and Selective)
• Driving the initiative & Innovation
• Market Intelligence
• Competition expansion, New Launch info & TOT info
• Channel strategy & Market Share
• Driving Efficiency & Effectiveness
• Driving New Launches & Activations (Regular/ Seasonal)

Managing and motivating Channel Partners (ROI & Infra review).

People Development
• Handling a team of Sales Executives
• Managing a team of 70+ Beauty Advisors.

Maintain Market Hygiene (Schemes & Testers Budget utilization, Damages & Expiry, timely settlement of PWD, timely submission of NDCs, QPS & other trade payouts).

Effective Merchandising (Timely Execution, Submission of pics of Sel & Semi Sel stores & NPNP Activity).

Key Deliverables:
• Achieving sales targets
• Train and retain talent – BDEs
• Train and groom Beauty Advisors
• Expanding into new geographies/Business Development

Requirements

Education:
• MBA from premier institutes

Key Relationships:
• Internal: Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, Controller
• External: Distributors, Retailers

Technical Skillsets:
• Sensitivity to beauty
• Relationship orientation to manage distributors
• Sales and primary sales objectives
• Analytical

Key Competencies:
• Experience in FMCG industry in general trade/modern trade. Experience in Personal Care division will be given preference.

Team Size:
• People management of Business Development Executives (BDEs) – 3 to 5
