Reports to: Head of International Development

The Head of Business Relations (Regional), will lead the delivery of the India strategy in their region. They will manage all core stakeholders in their region and directly contribute to the delivery of the pan India strategy. The role will be responsible for developing and implementing relationship plans for each stakeholder group, and under the guidance of the Head of International Development and Head of Business Relations (India) they will prioritize stakeholders, putting in place clear account management plans and provide regular reports on activity against targets.

The role will be responsible for regional sales targets, supporting the delivery of the India growth targets. The Head of Business Relations (Region) will manage the work of the business relationship manager(s); to set targets, agree account plans and report on delivery.

The Head of Business Relations will be part of the India leadership team, reporting on regional activity and advising the Head of International Development and Head of Business Relations (India) on opportunities and threats to the delivery of agreed targets.

Key Responsibilities:
- To develop and deliver relationship and account plans for all stakeholders in the region.
- To deliver the India strategy in their region, targeting employers and education providers, as appropriate.
- To deliver agreed growth targets and provide weekly progress reports.
- To manage the work of business relationship manager(s), ensuring robust account management plans are in place.
- To identify opportunities for company to build new relationships with employers, education providers and industry/government bodies (as appropriate).
- To work closely with the Head of Business Relations (India) to ensure alignment of activities with the pan India strategy.
- To co-ordinate and deliver effective events for employers/education providers that directly support the delivery of targets
- To represent the company in regional forums/meetings to raise the brand within the business profession.
- Any other related activities as assigned.

The Head of Business Relations (Region) will manage up one/two business relationship managers. He/She will also be working very closely with the Head of Business Relations (India) and Marketing Managers.

This role is accountable for supporting the successful delivery of strategy and key performance indicators to include:

Attract: New registrations.
Develop: support employers with the progress of their employees with the examinations, contributing to member conversion as well.
Sustain: employability for members and affiliates

Working Relationships:
- Market Head – India (line manager) – accountable for the achievement of objectives and targets – weekly and more regular contact as and when required for strategy direction.
- Head of Business Relations (India) – delivery of regional strategy and meeting of agreed targets.
- Wider India team – monthly meetings to discuss performance and resources for achievement of India targets and objectives, and regular contact with team members to share best practice, market intelligence and develop internal and external joint networks.
- Direct reports – as line manager – frequently both individually and as a team.
- Key individuals in suppliers, employers, members, educational institutions, learning providers and other key influencers within the Indian economy.

Additional Information:
- The post holder will be required to travel regularly within India, and occasionally internationally
- Irregular working hours regime.

Compensation: INR 25,00,000 to 30,00,000 p.a.

Requirements

- Use their strong personal and presentation skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Be adept at building and maintaining relationships, and communicating clearly both orally and in writing. Will be expected to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the professional business environment in which company operates
- A professional accounting qualification or a degree with a background in business and marketing.
- At least 12-14 years of relevant working experience preferably with a proven track record of management.
- Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to influence people at all levels.
- Possess a clear disposition to strategic thinking and team management skills.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and networking skills.
- Be a superior communicator, with excellent written and presentation skills.
- Able to work independently in a small office.
- Experience in the finance/accounting related sector is desirable.
- This position will require travel throughout the region, including occasional overnight stays
