Head Procurement - Solar International Projects

Job description / Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Procurement to lead our international solar projects procurement efforts. The successful candidate will oversee sourcing, negotiations, and supply chain strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services critical to our solar energy initiatives worldwide.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with international solar project goals.
- Lead and manage procurement activities including supplier identification, negotiation, and contract management.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, finance, and project management to meet project timelines and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with international procurement regulations and company policies.
- Manage relationships with international suppliers and vendors to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Identify potential risks in procurement processes and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor market trends and update procurement practices accordingly to maintain competitiveness.
- Oversee procurement budget and reporting for international solar projects.

- +20 Years of Experience
- Engineering Graduate
- Proven experience (minimum 8 years in Lead Role) in procurement within the solar energy sector or renewable international projects.
- Strong understanding of global procurement regulations and practices, particularly in renewable energy.
- Exceptional negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a diverse procurement team across multiple regions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with international stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.

Salary:
USD 7,000 to 13,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
