Operational Management
• Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned offshore vessels.
• Ensure vessels operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with statutory and company requirements.
• Coordinate vessel schedules, maintenance, and logistics to achieve operational targets.
• Monitor vessel performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Safety & Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with ISM, ISPS, MLC, and flag state regulations.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture onboard and ashore.
• Conduct safety reviews, incident investigations, and root cause analyses when required.
Crew Management
• Coordinate with crewing department for manning requirements, crew changes, and certifications.
• Support Masters and Chief Engineers with operational decisions and guidance.
• Ensure crew welfare, training, and competence standards are maintained.
Maintenance & Technical Support
• Liaise with Technical Superintendents to ensure planned maintenance schedules are adhered to.
• Review technical reports, defect lists, and ensure timely rectification of deficiencies.
• Monitor vessel condition and prepare for inspections, surveys, and audits.
Requirements:
Client & Stakeholder Management
• Serve as the primary operational contact for clients for assigned vessels.
• Attend client meetings and operational reviews to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.
• Coordinate with chartering and commercial teams to optimise vessel utilisation.
Financial & Budgetary Control
• Monitor vessel operational budgets and control operating expenses.
• Review and approve operational expenditures within delegated authority.
• Contribute to annual budget planning and cost optimisation initiatives.
Reporting
• Provide regular operational updates, performance reports, and incident summaries to senior management.
• Maintain accurate records in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, or related field.
• Certificate of Competency as Chief Engineer or Master Mariner (preferred).
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in offshore vessel operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of offshore vessel operations, DP systems, and marine regulations.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle operational emergencies calmly and effectively.
Salary:
INR
300,000 to 350,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
