Site Manager - Mumbai, India

Our client, a leading Indian Real Estate Developer Builder, seeks to appoint a Site Manager to manage all site activities of a high rise mixed use tower in Mumbai, India. This role is responsible to lead and drive the structures and finishes of the project and enable site coordination and cooperation.
Reporting to the Project Director and managing a site team, he is responsible for the following:
• Oversee the site management operations on a day-to-day basis, and ensure that work is done safely, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards.
• Monitor progress, oversee delivery of materials and carry out safety checks and sort out any problems which could hold up work as they arise.
• Leadership, management and liaison of the site team and liaison with architects, engineers, surveyors and planners.
• Ensuring that work complies with building regulations and health and safety legislation as well as other legal requirements.
• Update the Project Director and Property Team regularly on progress.
• First point of contact for sub-contractors and site consultants.
• Ensure the deadline for completing work is met.
• Project reporting including problems or delays as well as updating on project progress.
• Responsible for any accidents that occur on site and safety management.
Requirements
• Degree in Construction or Engineering or comparable trade experience on major commercial projects, ideally high rise mixed use towers.
• Minimum of 8 years’ construction management experience with exposure on mid-rise or high rise projects being essential.
• Candidates must be a strong negotiator with advanced communication skills and have a nature ability to lead and drive projects.
• Strong numeracy skills with IT skills being essential.
