Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and experienced Assistant Director of Engineering to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. In this key leadership role, you will provide technical expertise, guide engineering teams, and drive project success in a dynamic and challenging environment.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams
• Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and documentation
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly those relevant to the Iraqi market
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance reviews
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that embraces cultural diversity
• Develop and manage engineering budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation
• Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure product and service excellence
• Conduct regular quality audits and inspections
• Ensure compliance with local and international industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines
• Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to achieve organizational goals

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering roles, including at least 3 years in project management and team leadership
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills in engineering disciplines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
• Proven organizational and time management abilities
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
• Ability to adapt to and thrive in a dynamic work environment
