Drilling Supervisor

Job description / Role

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee safe and compliant drilling operations, ensuring adherence to approved programs and company standards.
• Monitor and reduce non-productive time, accidents, and HSE incidents during well construction.
• Provide technical supervision and manage deviations from drilling programs.
• Supervise critical operations such as cementing, casing, well control, and stuck pipe resolutions.
• Ensure proper inventory of equipment and materials for operational needs.
• Participate in technical document development, incident investigations, and daily reporting.
• Enforce HSE policies and procedures, ensuring safety compliance and addressing deficiencies.

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Drilling, Petroleum, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 5+ years in drilling operations, 2+ years in international projects, with experience in South Iraq (e.g., WQ-1, Rumaila, Zubair).
• Expertise: HPHT, H2S environments, deviated/horizontal well drilling, fishing operations.
Skills:
• Strong knowledge of drilling equipment, engineering, and operations.
• Proficiency with OpenWells software and drilling technologies.
• Intermediate English; Russian preferred.
Certifications:
• IWCF/IADC Well Control (Supervisor Level), H2S Training Certificate.
Special Requirements:
• Ability to work with rigs of 2000HP or higher and manage wells with multiple casing strings.
