Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently looking for Process/Surveillance Engineer - Facilities to work in our Iraq office. This is a highly strategic role within the department and the ideal candidate will be at Principal or Lead level in their career with extensive years of experience within the industry in a similar role. WQ1 continues to work towards increasing production and offers unique and challenging opportunities for energetic facilities surveillance engineers to learn and contribute. Excellent opportunity to gain operational support experience

Responsibilities include
- Conduct daily facilities/process surveillance work in degassing stations
- Support operations in troubleshooting and debottlenecking
- Support achieve daily crude production / water injection targets are met. Reduce unscheduled downtime
- Lead or support increase in production / water injection
- Coordinate with different departments to ensure facilities issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Identify any opportunity projects to be developed for degassing station facilities which help improve reliability and uptime and championing their advancement and completion
- Work closely with Projects and provide Operations inputs to crude oil projects and ensure that the overall project is delivered to meet the facility operational needs.
- Redlining of P&IDs, PFDs etc based on field-originated modifications or inaccuracies or errors found in the field.

Requirements

Skills / Qualifications
- Chemical or Mechanical engineering degree. Other engineering may be considered if there is exceptional field experience
- 5-10+ years relevant experience in facilities/operations conducting process,facilities surveillance,troubleshooting ,debottlenecking,opportunity identification. Individuals with lesser experience may apply but require exceptional academic background and skills
- Experience with tools such as HYSYS/PipeSim/PI preferred
- Excellent academic background.
- Willingness to spend time in the field and working with operations and maintenance departments
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Good teamwork, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational, coordination, planning, and interface skills
- Strong Knowledge of production and water treatment facilities
- Knowledge of industry standards that apply to oil/gas and water processing.
- Recent chemical or mechanical graduates or students graduating shortly with exceptional academic accomplishment may apply
