Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose Of The Job:
• To effectively manage the Al Fakher factory in Iraq ensuring that operational goals in terms of production volumes, cost, quality and people management are met, and to ensure the assets and people are protected and secured.

Responsibilities:
• Job specific responsibilities covers the areas of People & Performance Management, Processes & Procedures, Administration & Reporting, Planning and Production
• People & Performance Management: Lead work planning process and sequencing, including ensuring adequate staffing and resources.
• Recruit, select, orient, train, assign, schedule, manage performance and training needs and discipline Factory staff.
• High level supervision and support of Purchasing & RM Warehouse Divisions
• Direct Production Planning Meetings and track production performance to schedule together with Production supervisor
• Collaborate across functions and analyse metrics to assess progress towards goals.
• Set functional objectives and communicate to the Production Staff to ensure that targets are achieved through implementation and compliance.
• Determine and monitor the overall resource capacity (manpower and equipment) for factory and set priorities to maintain production expectations.
• Processes & Procedures: Implement SOP’s to maintain operational Bills of materials and Routings.
• Share information about future production changes with the planning engineer and follow strict safety rules.
• Promote a safe working environment by ensuring a full and consistent compliance of all Production Staff in the Company’s safety and security policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that production lines are effectively maintained, production output maximised, enhance workflow to optimise resource utilisation.
• Guide and monitor all Staff and Labours to ensure that they carry out their responsibilities in accordance to the required Quality Management Systems standards, Risk Management Standards, company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety standards.
• Administration & Reporting: Maintain Bills of Material for all production processes.
• Share monthly/weekly factory reports with Ajman management
• Supervise all aspects for the production process, prepare progress reports, analyse data, make recommendations for improving production operations and solve production related problems as needed.
• Monitor productivity performance and maintain metrics to demonstrate; lead time, schedule performance and capacity utilisation.
• Planning and Production: Generate Production Schedules and Manufacturing Orders, forecasting inventory requirements, optimising inventory levels as well as helping the organisation evaluate and implement an inventory management system.
• Work closely with Marketing, Purchasing, Operations and Finance Teams to plan and monitor inventory levels and production lead times.
• Collaborate with sales in analysing the sales forecast, by completing the assets, raw materials, manpower requirements, customer demands, and following up on the actual production results.
• Plan, create, control and monitor production schedules and job order priorities to meet production targets.
• Estimate costs, implement quality standards and ensure that the production is cost effective.
• Develop long term and short-term plans for increasing production capacity and decreasing costs.
• Create new initiatives that reduce waste and increase performance.
• Understand business strategy and contribute to the execution in everyday business plans.
• Collaborate with distributor, Logistics & FG Warehouse Divisions to ensure the successful production and shipping of customer orders.

Requirements

Basic Qualification / Education:
• Degree in Industrial Engineering
• Minimum Experience:
• 7-9 years of experience in the manufacturing industry of which at least three years must be in an operational management role
