Overview

Wood is recruiting for an Integrity Advisor (Local National) to join its Iraq Business Unit on a 5 days on, 2 days off rotation. This role serves as the subject matter expert and first point of contact for all issues related to Facilities Integrity. This is a full-time onsite role in Basra, Iraq with travel requirements.

Key Objectives

  • Serve as subject matter expert and first point of contact for all issues related to Facilities Integrity.
  • Provide technical support to Operations and Maintenance to maintain the integrity of all pressure equipment, tanks, and piping systems, including monitoring, analyzing, and reporting of corrosion and inspection data.
  • Provide training and mentoring of technical staff on the general subject of materials, corrosion, and integrity, as well as on client integrity programs.
  • Manage inspection contractors to perform the integrity inspection program.
  • Lead development and implementation of equipment strategies for pressure equipment (including piping).
  • Develop and issue weekly/monthly reports for the integrity group.
  • Coordinate monthly integrity reviews with Operations and Maintenance.
  • Coordinate chemicals management contractor to optimize the chemicals program.
  • Support cathodic protection system installation, design, commissioning, surveillance, and maintenance.
  • Provide technical support for Operations.
  • Coordinate fitness for service and failure analyses and recommend appropriate repair plans and material selections.
  • Provide technical reviews as part of the Management of Change system (related to materials, corrosion protection, etc.).

Expected:

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical Materials or equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar job in upstream oil and gas companies.
  • Certifications in NDE, API, and NACE desirable.

Skills:

  • Analytical skills / problem solving.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Mentoring of young engineers.
  • Knowledge of materials, corrosion control, industry standard repair methods.
  • Knowledgeable of industry standards that apply to integrity, such as NACE, ISO, ASTM, ASME BPVC.

Systems:

  • Standard MS Office programs.
  • Inspection integrity database.
  • Management of Change.
