Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented junior accountant to support day-to-day accounting activities in Arabic and English. You’ll handle basic entries, AP/AR routines, bank reconciliations, and month-end support under the guidance of the client’s finance lead. The ideal candidate combines accurate data entry with clear communication and solid fundamentals.

Requirements

• Record and post daily journal entries with complete supporting documents.
• Accounts payable: verify supplier invoices, match PO/GRN, prepare payment requests.
• Accounts receivable: issue sales invoices/receipts and update the aging report.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve simple variances.
• Maintain petty cash log and prepare top-up/settlement summaries.
• Assist with inventory entries (receipts, issues, adjustments) with the warehouse.
• Support month-end close (basic accruals/prepayments, trial balance checks).
• Keep orderly paper/digital archiving; label “Paid/Received” and index documents.
• Prepare short daily/weekly status updates and a simple monthly summary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (or closely related).
• About 1 year hands-on accounting experience (internships/co-ops count if documented).
• Arabic: fluent; English: good (emails, basic reports, spreadsheets).
• Solid grasp of fundamentals: AP/AR, bank reconciliation, petty cash, month-end basics.
• Excel proficiency (SUM/IF, basic tables; PivotTables are a plus) and Word.
• Accuracy, confidentiality, time management, and teamwork.
